King Bhumibol Adulyadej
The King of Thailand Bhumibol Adulyadej was born December 5, 1927. Officially given the title the great he is also King Rama IX, has he is the ninth in the Rama Dynasty. After the death of this older brother he become King of Thailand on June 9, 1946, he is the longest living serving monarch in the world as well as being the world’s longest serving current Head of State.Bhumibol is a constitutional monarch; but he has made decisive interventions in Thai politics. He uses his great wealth to finance many development projects, particularly in rural areas of Thailand. He is immensely popular in Thailand, and is revered by the Thai people. Outside of Thailand he is highly respected throughout the World. Born in the United States at Mount Auburn Hospital Cambridge, Ma and educated primarily in Switzerland. The King is also an accomplished musician, artist, and sailor. He is one of the wealthiest people in the world and has received many honors worldwide.
